Storm at Sea

While this is no hurricane Irene, nor on the Atlantic, this thunderstorm off the coast of Nicaragua was beautiful with the setting sunlight trying to creep out from behind it.

Here in Philadelphia, the sun is nowhere to be seen. So far the hurricane hasn't hit us hard yet, but by tonight it will be passing us 60 miles away. That's still close enough for a lot of rain and gusts up to 80mph. We've already had a record breaking 13 inches of rain this month and Irene supposed to give 6-10" more tonight. The soil here is already saturated and the meteorologists guarantee flooding and say to expect power outages. The nearby Schuylkill river that runs through Philadelphia is supposed to rise 14 ft. I think our apartment is on higher ground than that, hopefully. Needless to say, church is canceled tomorrow.
